Project Details
Bay Parkway Phase 2 is a 2.71-mile extension connecting the existing Bay Parkway at Pier Park Drive to Nautilus Street and Panama City Beach Parkway. CWR's construction team self-performed the roadway, stormwater ponds, drainage systems, sidewalks, force main, and a multi-use path that runs the length of the corridor for pedestrians and cyclists.
The completed roadway includes six lanes, wider shoulders, and turn lanes at major intersections, and it is designed to take pressure off the high-traffic core of Panama City Beach. Five new stormwater ponds along the alignment also improve water quality flowing into St. Andrews Bay. The project was completed in December 2019 and opened to traffic in January 2020.
