US-1 Turnbull Bridge Replacement

The Turnbull Bridge project involved the replacement of the US-1 northbound bridge over Turnbull Creek in Volusia County. To maintain traffic during construction, a temporary northbound diversion was built before the existing bridge was demolished and replaced with a new structure designed to meet current FDOT standards.

Construction included the installation of 135-foot concrete piles, erection of FDOT slab beams with stainless steel reinforcing, and cast-in-place concrete work required for the new bridge. CWR self-performed the pile driving, beam erection, and concrete construction throughout the project.

Additional project work included bridge demolition, roadway base construction, asphalt paving, revetment, and striping. Construction began in November 2024 and reached final acceptance in January 2026.
