CWR Contracting recently began constructing the SR 68/Orange Avenue Resurfacing project in Fort Pierce! This nearly 2-mile-long project is an important step in enhancing our local infrastructure, and we couldn’t be more excited to get started.
Project Details
The SR 68/Orange Avenue Resurfacing project includes a variety of improvements designed to enhance safety and accessibility for everyone. Here’s what you can expect:
- Milling and Resurfacing: We will be milling and resurfacing the existing roadways to ensure a smoother, safer driving experience.
- Bicycle Share-Lane Markings: New markings will be added to accommodate cyclists and promote safer, more efficient sharing of the road.
- Pedestrian Curb Ramps: Reconstruction of pedestrian curb ramps will improve accessibility and safety for all pedestrians.
- Upgraded Lighting: Enhanced lighting at vehicle and pedestrian signalized intersections will provide better visibility and safety during night hours.
Timeline and Community Involvement
The project is expected to be completed by summer 2025. During this period, our team will work closely with local schools, neighborhoods, and other community agencies to ensure safety standards are upheld and any impact on the public is minimized. Your safety and convenience are our top priorities, and we are committed to maintaining open lines of communication throughout the construction process.
